working in corporate is incredibly useful because you learn all the ways people can show up at a desk and not get anything done and my god, there are a TON then you start a company and a culture where not getting things done feels wrong and looks strange then you win

The advice to "work 2 years in corporate before starting a company" is total BS. You're not learning startup skills. You're learning how to be a good employee and get promoted at that company. 90% of what you learn doesn't transfer. If you want to learn to build a startup, build a startup.
